Controllers of the TAR series

[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”I cannot change parameters, why?” opened=”closed”]All controllers of the TAR series have a locking function to prevent un-authorized persons from editing parameter values. In the manuals is described how a code no. must be entered to make changes possible. At newer TAR versions (-2) this code-no. is requested at each parameter if necessary.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”Can I get drawings of controllers as a .dxf-file for my planning program?” opened=”closed”]Drawings of controllers, which you want to insert in your planning software you can find on the individual produkt sites as a .dxf. If not, please contact us.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”What does the number at the first site of the data sheet mean?” opened=”closed”]
With the document number the manual is assigned to a product or product group. The last two digits describe the change index, e.g. 5310965-00/00 –> change index 00, that means the first edition. Each documents has an individual date. Please note, that manuals can be changed at any timeBitte beachten Sie, daß bei späterer Verwendung des Dokuments bereits Neuerungen eingeflossen sein können. Therefore, please ask for the current revision state if necessary.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]

Standards and laws generally

MINIMEP Data Logger Systems

[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”Can I use the software CV-Scheduler with each MiniMEP?” opened=”closed”]
NO! The software CV-Scheduler works only with MiniMEP data loggers from a specific serial number and the software version V2.41. Here the overview:

  • MiniMEP 404S: from SerNo. 421398 (month 7/year 2005)
  • MiniMEP 424A: from SerNo. 442980 (month 7/year 2005)
  • MiniMEP 524A: from SerNo. 503135 (month 8/year 2005)

All older devices can only be used with the software MiniMEP BED 3.02 or the large COOLVision system.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”Do the MiniMEP data loggers comply with the EN-Standards 12830, EN 13485 and EN 13486?” opened=”closed”]Of course! For this products, only the EN 12830 is relevant, which describes the properties of the device. Here an overview. [.pdf, 19 kB, german][/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]

Temperature probes

[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”Under ‘Technical Data’ of my controller I have found: Temperatur Range -100..+300°C and aditionally: With TF 501 -40…+80°C. How can this be understood?” opened=”closed”]The information about the temperature range of the controller applies to the sensor element, but the measurable temperature range is limited by the the design of the probe (housing, cable, etc.). So it is possible that a probe (e.g. the TF 501) has a smaller temperature range as e.g. a TF 531, although the same sensor element is used.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”I have large deviations of the temperature displays. Why might that be?” opened=”closed”]Deviations up to a dimension of 2K are caused by the separated production of the componenten, by tolerances and the installation. The displays of all ELREHA controllers can be corrected in wide ranges.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”I have large rooms. How can I connect more than 2 temperature probes to a controller?” opened=”closed”]At controllres with only 1 input you can connect 4 probes as a bridge circuit. .pdf, 546 kB, german
Oszillating Actual Value Displays, possible causes
• Probe cables are installed in parallel to mains voltage cables, so there are induction interferences.
• Probe cables have no shielding.
• The shielding is not grounded at one side only.
• The shielding is not connected according to the regulations. Normally at the nearest PE terminal, at the MiniMEP on the GND terminals at the product itself.
• PE connector at the controller (terminal z4) is not conneced. Common error with the change of old cards of the series TD, TM, TDW to TAR 19xxx.

Actual values are to high
• Contact resistance at the terminals is too high.
• Probe cable was extended, cable cross-section is too  low, must be min. 0,5 qmm.

Actual values are too low
• Short circuit by foreign material or humidity at a terminal position.
• Moisture ingress by damaged probe head or cable

Distress Call Devices type NA

[otw_shortcode_content_toggle title=”The Accu o0peration/Malfunction LED at my NA 401 is blinking constantly. Why?” opened=”closed”]
Almost always the same error: If a cold room is not used, it will be switched off mostly and also the supply voltage of the NA 401. At this moment the customer does’t note that the NA 401 runs continuously in the accu mode up to the accu is extremely deeply discharged. With a deep discharged the accu will be damaged mostly. So for the intergrated charge controller ist is difficult up to impossible to recharge the accu. The runtimes of the accumulators are specified in the technical manual.
Customer-argument:
Why do you let, that the accu can be deeply discharged?

• The NA 401 must save lifes in an emergency, and that as long as possible.[/otw_shortcode_content_toggle]
