To ensure these standards, we develop hardware and software in-house, rely exclusively on high-quality electronic components, and place great importance on excellent development work in close collaboration with our customers. We always focus on the durability of our products. In this way, we ensure that our solutions can be used reliably and safely, far beyond the required limit values, even in environments with electromagnetic interference fields. Our quality management system has been certified since 1995 according to ISO-9001, currently according to the latest standard ISO 9001:2015.
Directive 2011/65 EC – RoHS II
Protecting our environment is of great importance to us.
ELREHA, manufacturer of electronic control, regulation and monitoring devices for the refrigeration, air-conditioning, beverage, milk cooling, solar and laboratory technology sectors, has already committed itself in 2006, with the entry into force of Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), to implementing these directives and to supplying only RoHS-compliant products.
This obligation naturally also applies to the substance use restrictions of Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II).
Directive 2015/863 EC – RoHS III
On 31 March 2015, the delegated Directive 2015/863 amending Annex II of the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment was published.
Through the regular review of Annex II, the following four phthalates listed below have been newly added to the list (permitted maximum concentration in homogeneous materials in weight percent in brackets):
Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP / 0.1%)
Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP / 0.1%)
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP / 0.1%)
Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP / 0.1%)
Less hazardous substitutes are now available for these phthalates, which are classified as reproductive toxins.
In the current publication, the Member States are called upon to implement the new regulation by 22 July 2019.
For certain groups of equipment, such as medical devices as well as monitoring and control instruments, the restrictions apply only from 22 July 2021.
